Karol Silva, Ph.D., M.P.H. is a human factors expert specializing in child and adolescent safety litigation. With interdisciplinary training in developmental psychology and public health, she brings a comprehensive understanding of how cognitive and motor development, risk perception, and caregiver supervision impact safety outcomes. Her work centers on investigating risk behaviors, assessing product safety features, and evaluating whether caregiver practices align with safety standards.

Dr. Silva has been retained in numerous expert witness and consulting engagements across the United States, involving cases related to consumer product safety, playground equipment, and child supervision. Her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Temple University, along with certifications as a Certified Playground Safety Inspector and Child Passenger Safety Technician, reinforce her ability to deliver objective, defensible analyses.
